Guidelines for authors

 

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR MANUSCRIPTS

 

By submitting a manuscript, the author agrees to comply with the ethical rules and technical requirements adopted by Ethics, Science, Education.

 

General Instructions

 

The journal welcomes manuscripts written in Bulgarian and English. They should contain no grammatical, spelling, and punctuation mistakes. The author's name, institutional affiliation and address should be formatted as a business card at the end of the article.

 

Each manuscript should be structured as follows:

 

1) Title of the article in Bulgarian, written in capital letters: Font: Times New Roman; Size: 14; Font style: Bold; Effects: All Caps; Alignment: Centred;

2) Name and surname of the author(s), written in Bulgarian: Font: Times New Roman; Size: 14; Font style: Bold; Effects: small All Caps; Alignment: Centred;

3) Title of the article in English, written in capital letters: Font: Times New Roman; Size: 14; Font style: Bold; Effects: All Caps; Alignment: Centred;

4) Name and surname of the author(s), written in English: Font: Times New Roman; Size: 14; Font style: Bold; Effects: small All Caps; Alignment: Centred;

5) Abstract – in English from 100 to 120 words: Font: Times New Roman; Font size: 12 pt; Line spacing: 1;

6) Keywords: in English from 3 to 6 keywords: Font: Times New Roman; Font size: 12 pt; line spacing: 1;

7) Body text – the maximum length of the article is 40 printed pages, with the standard Word margins (normal margins): Font: Times New Roman; Font size: 14 pt; Line spacing: 1.5.

 

NB: If the manuscript submitted is in English, the title of the article, name of the author(s), abstract, keywords, and business card should be written in English only.

 

* Manuscripts must be submitted in DOC(X) or PDF format.

 

Articles should be structured according to the template in the attached file.

 

 

REFERENCES AND CITING

 

References should be cited in accordance with the requirements of APA (American Psychological Association).

 

In-text citations should include the following information in parentheses: author surname, year, and page. The full version of the references should be provided at the end of the paper in the References list. References in footnotes should be formatted as follows: Font: Times New Roman; Font size: 10 pt. Sources in the Cyrillic alphabet must be transliterated.

 

Sample in-text citation: “Quote, quote, quote, quote.” (Ivanov 2000, 35).

  • Chapter in edited book

  • Scholarly journal article

Author(s), initials. (year of issue). Title. Source, Volume/Anniversary(Issue), Page(s).

  • If there are more than three authors, only the first one should be written followed by “et al.”

In-text citation: (Hamidi et al. 2011).

 

  • Conference paper in published proceedings

  • Scholarly journal article with a DOI

NB: Every entry in the Cyrillic alphabet should be transliterated into the Latin alphabet in accordance with the Bulgarian Transliteration Law (Bulgarian State Gazette, Issue 19 of 13 March 2009, amended in Issue 68 of the State Gazette of 2 August 2013).

 

Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements will be returned to authors for correction until the deadline for submissions is over. After that, they will not be considered for publishing.

 

Deadline for submission of articles for Issue 1: 1 April.

Deadline for submission of articles for Issue 2: 1 September.
