Abstract:
The report highlights the importance of word problems in primary school mathematics education. Some normative documents are also mentioned, in which the topic has disappeared. The significance of text tasks as a tool for developing students’ logical and rational thinking is noted. An analysis is carried out of the fourth-grade mathematics textbooks of four publishing houses, and relevant conclusions and recommendations are drawn.
