Abstract:

One should be aware that when starting to develop a software application—whether web, desktop, or mobile—the choice of database method plays an important role in its architecture, maintenance, and future improvements. Two of the most common and widely used approaches are Code First and Database First. This report provides a comparative analysis of these two approaches, examining their respective advantages and disadvantages based on the author’s experience working on real projects over the past few years. The purpose of this report is to assist a software team in deciding which of the two methods to use during development, depending on the project’s needs.
