Abstract:
The article presents the opinions of contemporary Bulgarians about speech and orthoepic norms of the Bulgarian language. The attitudes about complying with the norms or violating them are studied. Observations about the knowledge of the norms are made, the opinions about which deviations of the norms are acceptable and which are unacceptable are summarized.The problem of the attitude towards the need for changing the norms is discussed. The observations and evaluations in the article are based on the comments made during recent years in Internet forums.
