About the Proverbs and Sying Used in Oral Communication of Bulgarians - Models, Sources and Attitude Indicators

Abstract:

In the article are described and systemized observations on the colloquial use of proverbs and sayings in the process of informal communication among Bulgarians. Two main trends are illustrated – using of tested by time set phrases generalizing life experience (completely preserved or modified to certain extent) and the appearance of new set phrases of the type which indicate certain changes in attitude and values. The analysis reveals colloquial phenomena like ellipsis, vulgarization, prevailing negation etc.
