Abstract:

Rural tourism is one of the possibilities of alternative tourism, where residents of large cities seek missing there peace, comfort, facing Bulgarian culture, traditions and customs, walk among nature, etc. In Silistra there are favorable factors and conditions for the development of this type of tourism in the economic, social and environmental terms. The conditions for tourism development in a given area are the result of the simultaneous impact of internal and external factors that form the environment with strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats to the development of tourist activity. Recovery and the realization of these opportunities is related to overcoming the problems of a different nature and a different level. Sustainable tourism is a major engine and an essential condition for sustainable development of the destination. It is a long-term orientation. Its development is mainly in the cultural and environmental aspect. Organize new festivals in Silistra villages is an important part of the overall development idea and attract only locals, but also nationally. It is developing and reviewing trails. Sustainable tourism should become a priority for the region as it provides for future generations, social values and protects natural resources.
