Abstract:
The present paper analyses the trends in household electricity prices and costs in the EU. The observed fluctuations in prices and costs for electricity are considered in terms of the ongoing electricity market liberalization process. Some of the reasons for the sustainable growth of electricity prices and the different share of electricity costs in EU member states are explained.
