Abstract:
The chair “Medical pedagogy” at the Faculty of Public Health, Medical University Sofia has a years long experience in the qualification of different kinds of specialists physicians, healthcare cadres, psychologists, pedagogues, etc., who work in the sphere of public health, the healthcare system, the social field, nurseries, kinder gardens, different institutions for people with special educational needs, and so on. The chair staff educates annually participants in 1822 courses with different duration and scientific direction, realizing an interdisciplinary approach in the choice of themes. This is possible because the collaborators of the chair are of various backgrounds have different basic education and specializations in various scientific spheres medicine, pedagogy, psychology, public health and healthcare. The successfully realized postgraduate courses are continuously expanded, next to such traditional for the pedagogical qualification are also offered new in the sphere of medical ethics, pedagogical and psychological diagnostics, art-therapy, intercultural education etc.
