Migration (Family Moving) as a Negative Factor of Mental Health of Ukrainian Adolescents

Abstract:

An increasing number of internally displaced persons was recently registered in Ukraine, so the problem of internal migration is becoming extremely important. The literature review showed that the mental health of high school students significantly affected by the change of residence. However, these studies do not cover all aspects of life adolescents’ life. 589 Odessa high school students were studied. The average age of respondents was 14,866 years (SD = 1,107 years).It was determined that moving influenced on the formation of addictive and unhealthy behavior, suicidal tendencies, somatic problems, psychological distress, difficulties in interpersonal relationships with parents and peers, reduced coping with stressful situations.
