Резюме:

The exhibitions, which Aleko Konstantinov visits, before he decides to describe his impressions of Kolumbus` in 1893, are actually four. In the period 1889-1993 he attended successively the universal exhibition in Paris (1889), dedicated to the French Revolution, also agricultural-industrial exhibition in Prague (1891), which is believed to be inspired the construction of the Plovdiv fair a year later. Bulgarian exhibition is familiar for Konstantinov and finally he visits the universal exhibition in Chicago (1893) dedicated to the round anniversary of the discovery of America. In the book “To Chicago and back," the writer constantly compares the impressions of Paris, Plovdiv and America. The author seemed to acquire specific expertise with exhibitions, and the comparison turns into his system for telling, explaining, and illustration.
