Резюме:

This article analyses the characters system in the novel 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐸𝑙𝑒𝑣𝑎𝑡𝑜𝑟 by Georgi Markov. The main focus is put on the term chronotope, which was taken up by Russian literary theoretician Mihail Bakhtin who used it as a central element in his concept of the artistic world of the literary work. Georgi Markov writes a dramatization of the novel with the same storyline. А typological literary parallel has been made between the characters of both heroes in the novel and in the dramatization. The complex problems are interpreted from the point of view of the author himself.
