Резюме:

The article contains a brief review of the history of Slavia Orthodoxa literature translations into Polish from the 19th century up to the present. It is part of the severalyear research pertaining to bibliography and primary sources conducted at the University of Łódź in collaboration with other academic centers in Poland, within the project entitled The reception of Slavia Orthodoxa literature and folklore in Poland – a history and bibliography of translation work. The study features descriptions of works that were translated into Polish – in part or as a whole – within the above-mentioned period (this includes the oldest texts, considered part of the medieval Slavic literary canon, such as the Vita of Saint Methodius, the Primary Chronicle or the Tale of Igor’s Campaign), biographical notes on translators, as well as a presentation of the basic tendencies observable in the relevant translations both in historical times and nowadays. The review is accompanied by a bibliography of the translations of selected literary works.
