Резюме:

Boris Hristov’s works are crucial for the development of contemporary Bulgarian literature and at the same time his poetry and prose steer away from the current, grow beyond their point of origin, as they mark their own territory. The article is an attempt to shed light on one of his poems – A Closed Letter, and to delve further into the questions about choice as a poetic construct and its elusive textualized forms. The poem is closely read and examined in the intertextual field of the author’s writings. Thus, A Closed Letter opens up three intertwined discussions: on poetics, on Boris Hristov and the workings of his written world, but mainly on emotionally driven rationality, based on faith, translating into the poem and leading to different possibilities for the reader.
