Резюме:

For the Second Sunday of Lent, between the end of 1403 and 1406, Hieromonk Gregory, abbot of the Pantokrator Monastery, wrote a “Talk about alms and poverty”. It lacks an interpretation of Sunday reading, but the emphasis is on alms as a virtue and on treating the poor as a way of Christian behavior. The “Talk” is at the center of this interdisciplinary study, which is based on methods from different media fields. Some intertextual connections are established with the homilies of St. John Chrysostom and the approach of the two authors to attracting and interpreting biblical metatext in the oratorical text is analyzed. Thus, the Orthodox preacher Gregory Tsamblak in his early creative years presented himself as an erudite writer from the Turnovo School, preaching in the traditions of the church and patristic tradition.
