Резюме:

The article deals with the politically correct use of language in the translation of criminal law texts from Bulgarian into German. As the socio-political changes occur at different rates in the two linguistic and cultural communities, it is sometimes preferable to use the method of the adaptive translation in order to retain the connotative characteristics of the source text in the target text.
