Резюме:

The paper examines the link between different sociological theories with a focus on globalization and migration issues and their importance in interpreting literary works with similar themes and plots. It introduces Zygmunt Bauman’s reflections on the “end of uniqueness” and the stratification of society on ethnic and social grounds, Manuel Castells’s thesis on networking society and Homi Bhabha’s views on hybridity and “third space”. Subsequently, the focus falls on the interpretation of Saša Stanišić’s latest novel Origin, in which all these themes intertwine and solutions are sought to the issues of life in exile through specific literary techniques and an inexhaustible imagination.
