Резюме:

The article discusses different points of view in reply to the main methodological question, presupposing different teaching strategies (particularly in literature): How is it best to educate the Bulgarian student? The problems concerning the position of the state educational requirements, the teachers, the students and the parents are highlighted. The reasons for Bulgaria’s lag in the PISA results could be summarised as follows: lack of constructive relations between university specialists and the standardizing education institution; lack of interest in the providers of educational services on the part of its users, i.e. the students.
