Резюме:

The article draws attention to the role of the literary text in Bulgarian language teaching and learning. The function of the language units in a literary text to transfer cultural knowledge is considered. In the analysis of a literary text, the system-structural and communicative approaches to the study of language and to the mastering of models for communication in different socio-cultural contexts are integrated.
