Резюме:

In this paper, we focus on the use of pause and its grammatical function in the speech of Slovak TV moderators. By analyzing the pause in the speech of the individual researched moderators, which was implemented in the Praat program, we want to point out the specificity in the use of the suprasegment, its interaction with other suprasegments and the mistakes that moderators make in its (non) implementation.
