Abstract:
In the history of Slavic written culture, the word “slovo” (“word”) first emerges in the meaning of the hypostatic union of Jesus Christ – the Son of God-Slovo/Logos. The brief observation made demonstrates the philological accuracy and responsible attitude of Old Bulgarian men of letters to the nature and meaning of words, to the sentences in the Holy Scripture of the Old and New Testaments, to their correct perception and exegesis, in order to transmit the spiritual message of redemption in Christian culture, and discern heretic deformations and the constant spiritual war that is waged against Christianity.
Keywords:
hypostasis, Christ, Logos, word, Bible.
