Abstract:

The paper presents an analysis of the most popular given names of newborn Bulgarian babies in 2015. The description of the common characteristics of the names will assist in the making of the ‘profile’ of the most popular given names for women and men. The data for the most frequently used names is taken from the web site of the National Statistical Institute. We compare the names with the most popular names for the periods of 1891–1980 and 1981– 1990.
