Abstract:

This text can be conditionally divided into two parts. The first part outlines the interpretative trajectories in which the observations made by various researchers put “The Road” by Cormac McCarthy. The focus in the first part is on how divergent the observations are and also on the aspects, problematizing the reception of the book. The second part examines some of the issues raised in the novel – questions about faith and faithlessness, about religiosity, about the limitations of reality and the limitations of dreams, about the creative power of the word, about what is meaningful and what is meaningless.
