The object of research in this article is to show the different pragmatic focus in reporting the same event in British, Russian, Ukrainian and Bulgarian quality newspapers: The Guardian (United Kingdom), Commersant (Russia), Ykrayinska Pravda (Ukraine) and Dnevnik (Bulgaria).
