Abstract:
The article studies the use of nasheeds (an Arab poetry, sung either a cappella or accompanied by percussion instruments) in the media propaganda and in the recruitment of new followers and supporters by well known Islamist terrorist groups and organisations, based in the Middle East and North Africa as the Islamic State, the Nusrah Front, Boko Haram, Al Qaeda, etc. There are translations by the author of the report of several popular jihadi nasheeds from Arabic to Bulgarian language, as well as translation of the adopted as an unofficial anthem of the Islamic State nasheed ππ¦ ππππβ, π·ππ€π βππ π΄πππππππ (π π π΄π€πππ‘ π‘βπ πππ€ π΅ππππππππ), which is used as a background during the Islamic Caliphate ceremony in June 2014, and the announcement of Abu Bakr Al Bagdadi as a Caliph of the Islamic State.
