Abstract:
The paper is a partial study of the solution of the grant project VEGA 1/0164/15 Interdisciplinary analysis of the sports communication register in which we focused on comparing the differences in the acoustic properties of the addressing communication acts in the coaching communication register during the communication of coaches and players of older school age in the collective ball games in training and match dialogues. We compared 3 types of ball games – handball, volleyball and soccer, and 4 types of communication functions – command, encouragement, warning, and appeal. Based on the analysis of the authentic recordings of dialogues that were implemented with the Praat program and their subsequent evaluation in the statistical program Statistica, we try to find a confirmation of the hypothesis of the differences in the sound interpretation of the investigated addressing. Differences in the acoustic realization of selected addressing communication acts also contribute to the different pragmatic characteristics of each realization of addressing.
