Abstract:

Verbal adverbs has been present in the literary grammar works since the very appearance of such works. However, the special studies of this category are few and brief and a complete examination of the use of verbal adverbs in the language, including in modern Bulgarian grammars, is virtually absent. Under consideration are both monographic and systematic works, as well as practical tools for everyday use and we aim to provide a critical and objective assessment from the standpoint of the introduced concept. We present the various opinions in a comprehensive manner with various quotations, which should make the picture as objective as possible, regardless of our position. In some cases we will take the liberty to model and schematize some concepts, which will provide better opportunities for comparing them with other content-related or opposing ideas.
