Abstract:
The article examines leading trends in the mutual reception of Bulgarian and Slovenian literature since 1989. The following topics are studied: the criteria of selection, genre composition, the representativeness of translated works, the dominant audience reception codes and attitudes. An important segment in the mutual reception in the period under review are anthologies. Therefore, the analysis is focused on the characteristics of the various anthology formats and concepts. Bulgarian-Slovenian inter-literary dialogue is explored in comparative South Slavic plan because it is the juxtaposition that highlights the specific characteristics of the reception process. The ultimate aim of the research is to identify the reception models of both literatures formed during the period.
