Abstract:

In this article, the language features of two types of business letter (inquiry letter and letter of offer) for the German and Bulgarian language pair are compared. The body of the study covers excerpted examples from business letters published on the Internet or from textbooks in German and Bulgarian, which are not translated texts. The examples are analyzed and grouped according to their morphological, syntactic and lexical features, which makes it possible to draw a parallel regarding their frequency, use and relevance for the construction of the letter of inquiry and letter of offer.
