Abstract:
This paper focuses on the analysis of translations – textual and paratextual elements – left to us by the first Bulgarian female translators in the years before the Liberation. It seeks to find the answer to the questions of what self-awareness was behind their creative and thematic choice, and what part of their work has reached us and what has been lost forever?
Keywords:
Bulgarian Revival; female translators; paratext.
