Abstract:

Advances in technology and its entry into the lives of more and more people are helping to awaken civic interest in sharing personal stories through various digital platforms. These informal discussions and narratives build a new space that mediates the relationship between small communities and the general public. Breaking down deep-rooted fears about sharing personal experiences, the podcast develops trends for the transformation of the intimate from limited to ordinary. Important social issues are presented by using techniques that build a close identification of the audience with the object and subject of the narrative. The study of digitally told stories shows a multi-layered nature of content that enables the introduction of new models for creation, communication and consumption.
