Abstract:
The presence of women in the media is very different from that of men. While men are much more in demand to comment on current events, women do not have this opportunity to state their point of view and most of their problems remain hidden from society. Another characteristic problem of the media representation of women is the excessive focus on the appearance of women in the media. This reinforces the stereotype that the most important quality of a woman is her appearance, neglecting her professional qualities.
