Abstract:

The study examines five commonly used idioms in the Bulgarian language within the context of distant languages such as Chinese, Arabic, Tagalog, English, and others, as well as their respective cultures. The conducted research is based on a survey and collaborative work with numerous foreign language dictionaries. The aim of the study is to demonstrate the similar synthetic and semantic structure of the idioms and the common elements among seemingly divergent languages.
