Abstract:

In this article we introduce some ideas for developing students’ communication and argumentation skills in Bulgarian language classes (Year 7). The aim is to improve the students’ skills of good, positive, and purposeful communication through participation in a successful discussion. One of the innovative learning and teaching methods that would help the development of the students’key competencies in language learning is the use of mind maps. Project work is equally useful and interesting for the students.
