Predicates for Information Transfer

Abstract:

In this study we focus on the syntactic realization of information transfer predicates in Bulgarian. We examine the formal representation of their arguments, as well as their semantic characteristics. For this research we rely on data representative for contemporary Bulgarian. The analysis shows the relation between the semantics of the predicate and the type of object argument. In addition, conclusions for the realization of the argument in object position as a noun phrase or a complement sentence are made.
