Резюме:

Those who are born at the end of the 16th century was aware that they were the builders of a radically different era, the era of the New Times, the era of Enlightenment. That is why the Renaissance is identified with the hope for the spiritual revival of man, through the rediscovery of the arts, science and culture. The article examines the opposition of the New times to Medieval values and the affirmation of the humanistic idea of man in a completely new light as a historical person who has free will and the right to choose. The idea of art education originated at the very dawn of Humanism and can be found, even if only in its infancy, in some of the texts of one of the most prominent authors of the era - Jan Amos Comenius.
