Резюме:


This study is based on а media content analysis encompassing the period 1 January – 31 December 2021 within the framework of the scientific project “Local Festivals: A Resource of Local Communities for Coping with Crises.” A total of 77 publications were scrutinized for study purposes. Media cover local festivals in the following thematic areas: (1) informative and descriptive (incl. festive activities, local history, programme poster); (2) the impact of holidays on local communities: economic benefits, social cohesion, building trust; (3) change in the organization and conduct of local holidays under the COVID-19 measures; (4) participation of celebrities during local holidays and access to diverse forms of art and entertainment; and (5) international presence in local festivals.
