The paper tackles the subject of love in Pencho Slaveykov’s works with regard to the verbal and poetical means of expressing love and the feeling of love. Under closer scrutiny is the language representation of the beloved woman, the lyrical character and love itself in Slaveykov’s works. The main focus is on how the language of love develops and diversifies from Slaveykov’s first work Maiden tears (“Момини сълзи”) (1888) through his published and unpublished works from the 1890s to A dream of happiness (“Сън за щастие”) (1906).
