Резюме:

Fear is one of the ten scientifically accepted emotions that a person experiences at different times – love, fear, sadness, embarrassment, curiosity, pride, delight, despair, guilt and anger. Almost all negative emotions are rooted in fear. Fear comes in many forms, it can change and hide, but it is always reflected in our thoughts and actions. Fear can set certain limits or confuse the ideas and notions about our worldview. But where does it fit in? How does it manifest itself in a language? Which idioms denote and describe fear? These are the questions we will try to answer in the present study through analyzing parts of a corpus of Bulgarian, Greek and Russian phraseology.
