Резюме:
Ottoman Turkish is a hybrid language, formed as the result of a continuous process of adding numerous lexical and grammatical borrowings to the Turkic foundation. This hybridity appears to be a major obstacle to non-Turkish speaking learners of the old language and requires a different approach, implemented in a binary grammar of the Turkish language, targeted to a parallel teaching of both Ottoman and contemporary Turkish. The grammar units follow a gradual structure, in compliance with the principle of progression in education. It is a customised approach, designed exclusively in accordance with the most current demands and expectations of teaching a foreign language in the 21st century.
