Abstract:

The article deals with the morphological and syntactic features of the extinct Bulgarian Daretz dialect from the Eastern Rhodopes. The village of Daretz, now at the bottom of the artificial lake called Studen cladenetz, was the only Bulgarian village between Kardzhali and Krumovgrad, and it was surrounded by Turkish villages from all sides.
