Abstract:
The article examines phraseological units, excerpted from media texts on culture, published both in Bulgarian and Slovak online media. The emphasis falls on the assessment they contain. Its essence revealed, either positive or negative, is derived from the context. Also, different types of objects and subjects of evaluation, which are elements of a kind of “linguistic picture of culture” exposed in the media text, are defined.
