The article presents the basic mental structures – neurosis, psychosis, perversion and discusses the distinction neurosis – psychosis, following the logic by which Freud specifies the mechanisms which the subject uses as it connects with the outside world. Consider the Lacanian clinic of psychosis and opportunities for therapeutic intervention.
