Резюме:

This theoretical review aims to provide an overview of the cognitive-experiential theory and its understanding of the psychological processes of loss and grief due to the death of a significant other and their complications. The review presents the main components of the theory, i.e. the three conceptual systems and their characteristics, and then describes their significance for understanding how the processes of coping with bereavement and grief occur. The significance of the theory and the subsequent empirical research in this direction is marked.
