The different types of administrative set-ups in Bulgaria since the Russian-Turkish War (1877–1878) until nowadays are described. These are initiated originally by count Vladimir Cherkaski. The numerous changes in administrative set-ups are classifi ed and systematized in periods and each set-up – in sub-periods.
