The present text analyses the manifestation of the language of fear in “Notes on Bulgarian Uprisings” by Zakhari Stoyanov. Fear is an important topic in the memories and its utterance forms the receptive policy of the work. The language of fear connects to the creation of revolutionary myths, depiction of individual and mass psychological conditions and formation of ideological constructions. Through the prism of the language of fear history obtains a different face – less heroic but more authentic and filled with psychological density. The language of fear leads us in the shadows of history thus nearing us to its overall picture.
